IMOFAP Study Feedback

You will be pleased to know that the recruitment stage of our study in acute pancreatitis has now been completed.

We have managed to recruit 79 patients in 3 months, which is outstanding, however it is still too early to claim that we have succeeded. We will be examining our data imminently.

Importantly, after checking the provisional cohort demographics, 71/79 (89.9%) of our participants came directly through the A&E department of the Royal Infirmary.

On behalf of our research group and the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility nurses, I would like to convey our enormous gratitude for accommodating us.

Feedback from all WTCRF staff members has been excellent, and we can only feel grateful for the contribution of all A&E team members.

Their politeness and eagerness to help, support and facilitate us while working in one of the busiest A&E departments in the country is just outstanding and sets an example of efficiency, team spirit and research awareness.

Thank you all very much!

Very best wishes and Merry Christmas.

Kind regards,
